One of the initial milestones in redesigning Nike.com was a product recommendation system called “Gear Up”. I helped to manage the design and development process, and stakeholder and client expectations.
Gear Up is a decision tree. Consumers narrow down a product set based on their athletic abilities and habits.
We designed a device agnostic system — making the tool available on mobile, tablet, and desktop screens.
Redesigning Nike.com was a long-term process that spanned several years, and I was a UX lead for much of the early stage work, which started with competitive analysis, and extremely detailed design explorations and concept work.
